Privacy Policy

In short: your screenshot is read once and discarded. Conversations are kept 90 days so you can find your leads, and you can delete everything in one tap. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it to train AI models.
1. Who we are
CopyDating ("we", "us") is responsible for your personal information. Contact: privacy@copydating.com. This policy applies to the website and web app at copydating.com (the "Service").
2. What we collect, why, and for how long
We collect the following categories of personal information, from you, from your device, and from our payment processor:

We use sensitive personal information only to provide the Service you asked for, and not to infer characteristics about you beyond that. We don't collect your full card number: payments are handled by Stripe.
3. Messages from other people
Screenshots usually contain messages written by someone else. We process them only to give you an analysis and suggestions, never to contact that person or build a profile of them, and they are deleted with the conversation after 90 days. If you believe your messages were uploaded by someone else and want them deleted, write to privacy@copydating.com.
4. Who processes your information for us
We disclose personal information only to service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit its use to providing their service:
- Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database);
- AI model providers, accessed through OpenRouter, routed only to providers that commit not to keep your data or train on it;
- Stripe (payments, fraud prevention), Resend (email) and PostHog (product analytics).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, subject to this policy.
5. No sale, no sharing, no AI training
We do not sell your personal information and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by California law. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. We honor Global Privacy Control signals; since we do not sell or share, there is nothing further to opt out of.
6. Your choices and rights
From your account, you can delete a lead or all your data at any time. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas or Oregon), you also have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling with legal effects (we do none of these);
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights;
- appeal our decision on your request, by replying to it.
To make a request, email privacy@copydating.com from the address linked to your account, or tell us your account details so we can verify it is you. An authorized agent may act for you with your written permission. We answer within 45 days; if we need more time, we will tell you why.
7. Children
The Service is only for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the data.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to what is needed, and the database is closed to direct public access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
9. International transfers
We and our service providers may process data in the United States and in other countries. Where required, we rely on contractual safeguards.
10. Changes and contact
We will post any change here with its date and, for material changes, tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Questions or requests: privacy@copydating.com.
Do Not Track: our Service does not track you across other websites, so it does not change behavior in response to browser Do Not Track settings.
